Q: How much do you charge?

Q: Why is an upfront deposit required?

A: I take my work seriously, and I want to make sure that the dates I set aside are being taken seriously as well. The up-front deposit lets me know that you're serious about booking! 

Q: Why do you have an hourly rate for stop-ins that's different from your overnight rate?

A: My stop-in pet sits require more time spent in driving from location to location, gasoline and tolls. All of those are factored in for my stop-in rate, whereas it costs me nothing in transportation costs to stay overnight.

Q: Do you have a cancellation/refund policy?

A: I do! Due to the nature of the work I do and the tendency for cancellations to crop up from time to time at the last minute, my refund policy is unique.  

* For pre-sit cancellations, a the 50% upfront deposit will not be refunded, but will be credited towards your next booking. 

* Mid-sit cancellation fee is 50% of the total. 

* In the case of a cancellation due to a death, whether it be human or animal, there will be a full refund. 

Q: Are you insured?

A: Yup! Kennel Pro!

Q: Are you certified?

A: Yes, indeed! Pet Sitters International has a brilliant certification program, and I'm proud to have their CPPS (Certified Professional Pet Sitter) certification.  

Q: Can you deliver medications?

A: Absolutely! I've had a wide array of experiences in making sure animals from varying species get their medications. Worming horses, sub-cu insulin shots and stomach tube feedings for cats, syringe meds for conures, post-op and wound management for cats and dogs, etc. Whatever your beloved pet needs for their quality of life, I'll make sure they get it.  

Q: Are you a veterinarian/vet tech/vet nurse?

A: No, but I am currently studying herbal medicine and hope to take my studies to a clinical level in the next two years. After I qualify as a clinical herbalist, I do want to use my studies to help animals! I'll keep you posted!  

Q: Can you board my pet at your place?

A: No, I'm sorry. My current living situation doesn't allow for me to board. But I will say that my experience over the years has led me to believe that animals fare best when their normal routine is interrupted as little as possible. One of the best ways to ensure that is to care for the animals in their own home environment. And that's what I do! Avoiding kennel cough aside, I don't rile my landlord, and your animals get to keep their familiar creature comforts! It's a win/win!
